Bail arm is made of cheap plastic.

The arm the holds the bail that flips is made of plastic. I was using 10lb fluorocarbon line on it and it somehow sliced into the plastic. Now the line always gets caught in the groove and is slicing deeper. Trying to return to canadian tire currently due to me only using the rod twice

This is my first rod. I like the feel of it. I suppose it is a bit heavy, but it feels alright to me. Reel works well too. I get some nice casts.

i got tired casting and jigging

this rod feels heavy specialy when you are jigging or casting, stiff too like in a bad way, the reel feels solid but over all this combo isnt good.

This is a nice rod and reel combination. It is lightweight, which makes it easy and convent to travel with. It is a two piece set, which makes it easy to store. It would be a good starter combination for a novice fisherman or fisherwoman.
