I bought this auger a few years ago and so far I've had to replace the recoil three times. the recall could not be made any cheaper. you would think if they're going to have a device that doesn't start very well at least it would have a good recoil system. if you notice all these augers use the same recoil. they will let you down. switching to electric

Q: I bought this auger recently and don't intend on using it for the year. It has sat unused for a year and I intend on letting it sit until next winter so it will be still in Box. Can it sit for that long without being fueled and ran?

A: I much enjoyed using it this year. It started well every time and cuts the ice like butter. As with all my 2 cycle engines, I empty the gaz tank, start the motor and let it run dry to prevent any build up. Thats it . I works for me
