    Great Bike

I purchased this bike to use at my parents farm. Riding on gravel roads and country highways has been awesome. Looking forward to taking it out on trails too. Great bike for the price.

    Good bike

A good bike for puttering around the city trails. All and all it's well built, If you buy it pre assembled you'll have to make some minor adjustments, like any other pre assembled bike, to get the machine to work flawlessly else you could have problems later on. On mine I only needed to do the most common type of adjustment mainly balancing and proper tightening on the quick release wheels and adjustment to the tire pressure which is wholly reasonable and expected on any new bike. The breaks are strong, the tires get good traction and the machine is well balanced I have no complaints but I do recommend getting a seat and pedals suited to your size rather than OEM for your comfort. There's nothing wrong with the OEM parts quality wise they were simply a poor fit to my foot size and bone shape which isn't an issue with the machine itself but me.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: When it comes time to replace the brake pads, are the Raleigh J6 (#073-1046-2) the right ones for this bike?

    • A: It looks like I can now answer my own question. I removed my brake pads (easier than I thought) and they match the Raleigh J5 (#073-1045-4), which are probably the Canadian Tire version of the JAK-5.
