1 yr old loves going for rides

My daughter received this as a Christmas gift at 9 months old. We go for rides/walks every morning and she loves it. It rides smooth and she can now really reach the handle bars which is funny to watch her pretend she is in control. My only complaint is that the pedals bump her feet now that her legs are getting longer and she has to hold her feet up to keep them from getting hit or even caught in the pedals. Would be best with a foot rest of some kind or a way to take the pedals off/lock them in place until she is old enough to fully reach them all the way around and start to learn to use them. Other than that we love it and have had several other families ask us about it.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      1 - 9 of 9 Questions

Q: Is there some foot rests for younger infants?

      2 Answers
      • A: Yes, the pedals work as footrests. You have the option to lock them so they do not move and they will act as a foot rest.

Q: Can the steering be controlled by the person pushing? My son is too young to steer for himself and it would be dangerous if I couldn't steer. Can the parent/person pushing steer the tricycle from the back?

      2 Answers
      • A: Yes, the parent can steer the unit with the handle in the back.

Q: Is it possible to remove the pedals until our son is able to reach and use them? Without a footrest, they will spin and hit his legs as we walk!

Q: My daughter is 41 inches tall. Will this work for us?

      1 Answer
      • A: Hi nickname789: We recommend that you measure the length of your daughter's inseam (down to her foot) and compare it with the distance from the seat to the extended pedal. This distance ranges from 16" - 18", due to the seat being adjustable. For more information, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-621-7613 or email us: customerservice@radioflyer.com
