Defective from the first use. I took it out of the packaging and when I pressed the trigger the bottom portion extended and then blew right apart. I could not get it back together so I went right back to CT and returned it. I couldn't say if this was isolated to this particular monopod or a problem across the whole line. I did bother to get another one.
