The Prestone® DEX-COOL Extended Life 50/50 Premixed Anti-Freeze/Coolant, 3.78-L, is a specially formulated, ready-to-use coolant ideal for topping off or fully replacing the cooling fluid in modern vehicles. Its extended life OAT formula is compatible with GM vehicles from 1995 onwards, most Ford vehicles from 2011-2018, and most Chrysler vehicles from 2013 onwards that require orange Dex-Cool fluid. This 3.78 L Dex Col coolant provides 150,000 km or 5 years of protection against corrosion, rust, and scaling in cooling system metals, including aluminum. Its 50/50 dilution ratio eliminates the guesswork, making Prestone DexCool the hassle-free, optimal coolant for today's orange-fluid vehicles.

Q: I have a 2010 GMC Canyon and I believe it has RED dexcool coolant. Do you sell RED Dexcool? If not do you know who might?
3 years agoA: The Prestone DexCool 50/50 Antifrezze+Coolant is the correct formula for your vehicle. There is no red DexCool. Sometimes the fluid color changes over time, or the cooling system could have had another fluid added to it to change the color. Your vehicle originally came with Dexcool. (Which is more orange than red) A couple things you can consider: • Color doesn't matter and that our Dexcool formula would be the same protection as it was originally filled with. • If vehicle is of higher mileage or the current fluid is unknown, we recommend flushing the system and refilling with the DexCool formulations. • If the current fluid is known to be Dexcool, and in good condition, you could just add to it (top off) or drain and refill with any of these formulations.

Q: Sorry if this is a repeat entry. I just topped up my 2012 Honda Civic with this. Will I rue the day? I thought anti-freeze was just anti-freeze!
4 years agoA: Prestone DEX-Cool 50/50 Premixed Antifreeze+Coolant is designed to work with all GM® vehicles 1995 & newer (GM®-approved), most Ford® vehicles 2011-2018 and most Chrysler® vehicles 2013 & newer. However, It should not cause any damage if used as a top off in your Honda Civic. To get the best level of protection, you should perform a flush and clean of the system and fill with Prestone All Vehicles. Always consult your owner's manual for specifics regarding your vehicle.
