Good 1 coat coverage and primer isn’t required The paint code was determined by their scanner as I didn’t have the original paint code. It came out slightly different than the original color.

Q: can this paint be used on alluminum siding

A: I have used this paint numerous applications including an aluminum garage door without issue. Check the paint can or google it to see what the manufacture suggests. Aluminum siding may need a special paint for longer and more durable wear.

Q: Is Premier Exterior doors and Trim paint acrylic paint or latex paint? I want to use it on PVC, and 100% acrylic is recommended.

A: It doesn't state that anywhere on the can. I can only say that it is a water-based paint and that I used it on the vinyl trim around my exterior windows. So far, so good.

A: hello. Yes, you can but you need to lightly sand to remove the gloss sheen & then apply an acrylic undercoat such as Premier multi purpose primer then let stand for 12 hours then apply the latex paint. thanks

A: Hi John, Great question!! You will need to look for the same product but with BASE 1 2 or 3 (depending on what colour you would like it tintied) on the label. Please work with your local Canadian Tire store paint expert to help you choose the correct tint base for your preferred colour. Good luck with your project.

Q: Can this product be applied directly to a metal exterior door?

A: hello. No, it is not recommended to apply this paint directly on metal. it needs an anti-rust paint like Tremclad or Armor Coat. If you apply a primer, you need to use an alkyd primer, which is a better rust inhibitor than any the multi purpose one. Thank you!
