This PlumbShop angle valve from BrassCraft is built to last. Made with durable chrome and a stainless steel insert, this 1/2 inch PEX compression valve minimizes leaks. Sold individually, it connects 1/2 inch PEX tubing with 3/8 inch outer diameter hoses. Its angled shape makes it easy to install and use in tight spaces and behind appliances where access is limited.

A good choice

The instructions were good (although they covered other models). There were extra pieces I might have needed, a benefit. The plastic handle might not be as strong as metal.

These work great as they have passed the test of time. I prefer these over the push in ones. Push ones are easy to use but for me have more mechanical things that can fail in time

Q: The title on this says it's a sweat 1/2 ".. it appears to be a compression fit with the threaded nut. what's the stainless steel insert for?

A: The insert is used to provide a flat sealing surface for the compression fitting. Not really an issue if you used a tube cutter to trim the pipe.
