    Good for many applications

I had rust on the end caps of my roof rack, so I cleaned them up, filled the ends and then dipped them 3 times each. Worked a charm. I used a yellow version to dip my power tool wrenches to make them easier to find and easier to grip.

    Fixed my mitts

Painted the thumb of my winter mitts with the dip because the material was worn and cracked. Repeated the process a second time, and my mitts were good as new

    Same old stuff

Same product. Used it to recoat the arms on my sunglasses and other things. Better than spray if application allows it. Don’t forget masking tape if you need a clean break.

Q: Can I dip zipper pulls in it so they don’t scratch the motorcycle when they rub against it?

    • A: Dipping your zipper pulls in Plasti Dip can be an effective solution to prevent them from scratching your motorcycle. It will create a soft, rubberized coating that provides a cushion between the zipper pulls and your bike's surface.

    • A: Yes, it will work on stainless steel and other metals. Just make sure it is well cleaned. I use rubber gloves to keep from getting any oils from my hands onto the item.

    • A: Thank you for reaching out to Plasti Dip. No, we recommend ReRACK for your application. ReRACK is ideal for touching up rusted and damaged dishwasher racks and eliminating the transfer of rust onto dishes, and our only product recommended for this application. It is specifically formulated for use on dishwasher racks. We advise testing your application in a small, inconspicuous spot to see if it meets your expectations.

Q: Can this product be used in the kitchen. I want to apply it to the bottom of a glass water jug.

    1 Answer
    • A: Plasti Dip Multi-purpose Rubber Coating can be easily applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying. It protects coated items against moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, and weathering. The product remains flexible and stretchy over time, and will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions, -30°F to 200°F. Our products are a do it yourself product used on many substrates such as chrome, plastic, metal, wood and more. You will need to test your application to see if it meets your expectations.
