The PIC Insect Killer is a dual-purpose bug zapper and LED light compatible with most standard sockets. The zapper utilizes UV light to draw in flying insects. The electric grid kills bugs on contact, and the bright LED light is suitable for illuminating surrounding areas. It works well and instructions are very clear.
There is bo loud cracking as bugs fly into it. But in day light you can see it catches quite a lot of bugs.

Q: Does this product make a crackle or pops sounds when the bugs are killed . I would like to get the product but my dogs is afraid of my neibour's zapper when it makes a noise.

A: Not that I have noticed just all the bugs I keep having to clean out of it but mostly smaller ones and the lights super bright do not look at it when putting in or u will be seeing spots for a bit

Q: Is this suitable for outdoor use? Does it need to be in a protected area or is it ok if rain hits it?

A: I used it outdoor and it worked fine but I got the idea to use it in the house because I have dogs going in and out and of course they are bringing in nature with them and it is so great for me
