Not bad, not great...

Bought two sets of four. Went to pick it up, opened a box to check it out and everything seemed fine. Got home and after I took the whole thing out of the boxes I noticed that the items in box A and box B were not the same size although the serial # on both boxes is the same. Not very happy about it. Of course by then I had driven 100 km (the store is 50 km away) and I wasn't going to drive another 100 km to return it + another 75 minutes driving + gas. Either set taken separately looks fine but when you mix them up it shows. If you buy only one I suppose it's OK but if you buy more make sure everything matches BEFORE leaving the store (unless you live next door).
No, I do not recommend this product.

My favorite dinnerware set

This Pfaltzgraff Java Dinnerware Set is so beautiful on our dining room table, and makes it so delightful to eat wit them. The color is uplifting and it wears well, can be put in the dishwasher. I always get compliments from any guests over for a meal, about my dinnerware set.

I purchased similar dishes , same name, different color, and love them. They look so lovely on a dinner table with beautiful place mats under them. I purchased the burgundy ones and have black place mats and it looks stunning.

Q: Color of Pfaltzgraff stoneware? I bought one set that is a stone / greyish color. The stores now only seem to have a dark brown scheme. I want two more set of the stone/gray.

A: This set only comes in a beige/brown colour. Due to the reactive glaze the plate is finished with, the colour can vary slightly, that being said, it is possible that your original set was an extreme example of the colour variation. Most of our plates will only be the beige/brown colour that you are finding in stores.
