Great product. Easy to use if you follow instructions. Used this to repair holes from rust through on my pool top rails. Filled some holes as large as 1/4". Smooths easily, sets within 10 mins. Was sanding after 1 hr. Let cure for 24 hrs. before painting. Very happy with results. Don't mix more than you need for any one application.

Q: Can this be used to fix a broken weld on a steel frame supporting a computer table?

    2 Answers
    • A: Hello Sam R, and thanks for the question. For repairing steel welds we would recommend Permatex Steel Weld 4 Minute Metal Epoxy as it provides up to 4500 PSI of strength compared to Cold Weld which provides up to 3,000 PSI. If it is a structural weld that supports a fair amount of weight, then it may be best to get the broken weld repaired with an electrical steel welder. Please feel free to reach out to us with any further comments or questions. Please visit: https://www.permatex.com/contact/. Thank you.

Merci.

Q: can this be used to fix a leak in a brake line coupling?

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes this product can be used to fix a leak in a brake line coupling. Once the bonding agent has fully cured it will provide a permanent seal, the seal could prove difficult to brake in the future if needed to be removed.
