Love this kayak!!! Just perfect for fishing. It doesn't go as fast but when you are fishing it's perfect. Had another one for 5 years. My hubby needed a new one cuz he kept tipping over. Will never happen in this one!!!

The Kayak tracks very well only two complaints where pelican put the rod holder unless you have long arms you can’t reach it and it’s not compatible with Scotty products

A: I found this kayak very stable in rough waters. I did get splashed and my lower body did get wet but I didn’t take on so much water that I felt unstable. I do recommend getting a good paddle. I bought the Poseidon Angler Fishing Paddle Product #79-2075-4 from Canadian Tire. I highly recommend this product. Very happy with it.

A: Hello, I bought 2 of these kayaks. The black circle is a shallow compartment. It’s supposed to be waterproof. One was and the other leaked the first time I used it. I placed my phone, fishing license and a few snacks in there. After the first time one leaked I wasn’t taking chances and put my phone and licenses in a waterproof bag. It really didn’t leak again but I wasn’t going to risk it. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Q: Can the rod holder support a fly rod?

A: It will support the weight with no issue… but because of the design of a fly fishing setup there isn’t an easy way to place the butt end into any type of holder

Q: Is this kayak the same as the Pelican Maxim 100NXT Kayak? Does it have a twin-arched multi chine hull?

A: The 2019 Maxim 100NXT and Maxim 100X Angler both had the Twin-Arched Multi chine hull, the Maxim 100X and previous year Maxim 100X Angler have the Shallow V Chine Hull.
