Cats and kittens can escape from it since the zippers are faulty!! The whole point is to keep them safe!

Some cats can open the zippers

I bought two of these to pick up two cats that I was adopting. The zippers for the front doors were tied together and the button for the top zippers were closed, but unfortunately one of the cats was still able to open the top zipper and escape. He wedged himself under the passenger seat and hurt his spine. He ended up dying from his injury. Please, if you have a smart or a strong cat, do not use this carrier.

For the price is a decent carrier. There is a fault though, the zippers don’t go to the end which leaves a space for a kitten to escape:(

Avoid, zippers are not cat-proof

Very disappointed. Top zipper will not stay closed, cat is able to wiggle out when closed, making carrier basically useless.

A: I'm another one whose 15 lb cat fits in it just fine, and the carrier shape stays secure. However, I tested it with 22 lb of weights (four 5 lb + one 2 lb) and it buckled and distorted the nice rectangular shape. I wouldn't risk carrying a pet heavier than 15 lb, especially if it moves and wiggles around a lot, which panicky cats tend to do.

Q: Has anyone flown with their pet with this carrier in 2014? Trying to figure out if the restrictions that allowed the individual who flew west jet a few years ago are the same as today. This carrier is a couple inches larger than their restrictions each way.

A: Air Canada will take it, I rang them. If its a couple of inches longer they may still take it as its considered 'collapsable' meaning it can conform a bit to the compartment it's going in ie under seat. Hard carriers have to be under the size limit. good luck!
