Defective now - after countdown timer runs out the door locks and wont open until power plug is pulled out from socket!

A: Hi! You will need sufficient place to open the door as well as you need sufficient airflow. You need to place the front surface of the door 3 inches (7.6 cm) or more from the countertop edge to avoid accidental tipping of the microwave oven during normal use. Also, you need to allow 4 inches (10.16cm) of space between oven top, sides, rear and adjacent surfaces. Hope this helps! -C
