I do like these pans, but I don't know if I love them. I purchased two of these sheet pans prior to the holidays to replace some older pans I was phasing out. I really like the look of these pans, but am undecided about the size. These are larger than standard cookie sheets, which can be nice when baking to have the extra space. But these pans are too long to fit in my oven lengthwise, and I cannot fit two of these pans side by side in my oven, which is inconvenient when cooking a large number of cookies, for example as you have to bake in batches. I like the reinforced edges of these pans which will prevent warping, but am not excited about their weight. For heavy-gage aluminum pans, they should be heavier. I wonder if the whole of the pan was made from a higher gage of aluminum, then this reinforcement wouldn't be necessary as the pans wouldn't tend to warp. I used these pans extensively over the last few days for my holiday baking and the results were excellent.

I has some of these cookie sheets years ago and then downsized to a small apartment with an apartment size oven so mine would no longer fit the oven,now I have a regular size stove and theses pans are as good as they used to be.I 100% recommend these pans.With parchment paper they're just a dream to use.LOVE these pans.You will to.

Q: Please confirm the ACTUAL size, the size listed for this "half" sheet is the same as the size listed for the large sheet.

A: Thank you for your question. This size of pan which measures 18" x 13" is commonly referred to as a 'half sheet' because it exactly half the size of a 'full sheet' pan which is typically used in restaurants and caterers and typically measures 18' x 26". Half sheet pans are typically the largest size to fit in a standard home oven and go-to pans for sheet-pan dinners and baking alike.

Q: are these pans good for roasting veggies such as potatoes that has oil and stock on them? I'm looking for pans that will be good for roasting but not a nightmare to clean.

A: We bought one and are very happy with it. It is sturdy, very easy to clean and excellent for roasting vegetables, it is actually the main use we have for it. I would absolutely recommend it.

Q: REF: Paderno Half-Sheet Baking Pan #142-4874-8. 2 questions: Is this a “Closed Bead” pan with a heavy reinforcing wire around the perimeter enclosed by a rolled continuous lip? What gauge # thickness is the aluminum sheet, e.g. #18, #19, #20?
