Splits in half in microwave

I bought these a few weeks ago. So far lost 2 to the microwave (less than 2 minutes nuking time). The package and website say they are microwave safe. The plates literally broke in half about a minute in. Super unimpressed considering the price.

The plates were not as textured as the picture on the box made them seem. That's great because it makes them easier to clean! They are the best size and so far they have been durable.
