Sharp edges

I bought this set because my existing set had copper bottom, and wouldn’t work on my new induction stove. I did cut myself on the sharp edge, I would prefer a rolled edge, otherwise they are good.

Review of cookware set by Paderno!
I purchased this this cookware set to give as a family Christmas gift for the house. We have just opened it up and washed it. We have not had a chance to use it yet, but I am impressed by the quality and also a little overwhelmed as how many pieces it had! I am sure we will get many years usage from this set. Thank you Canadian Tire!

Excellent cookware with a great warranty.

We got this set of pots, PADERNO Canadian Professional Clad Cookware Set, last week. They were a replacement set for a Paderno set we got over thirty years ago. The aluminum bases of the old pots had started to disintegrate. The old set did not have cladding over the aluminum bases like the newer pots have.
Paderno asked for photos of the pots and a photo of the original receipt. The warranty is real and the process is relatively easy. Thank you Paderno for standing behind your product!
We were very satisfied with the original set and look forward to many years with the new ones.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: The Canadian tire ad says it is non stick cookware? What makes this nom stick?
2 Answers
A: The Paderno cookware we purchased is made with quality steel. We know these pots and pans don't stick because we have used our 12 piece Paderno cookware set manufactured in PEI for almost two years and they simply don't stick. There are many cheaper sets which have various coatings applied to their cookware. The trouble is that these coatings slowly wear off which defeats their purpose. The rule of thumb is you get what you pay for.

Q: How heavy are these pots? I want quality, but my current set are too heavy. The lids are solid stainles, not glass. Dutch oven weighs 5 lbs empty. As a senior, looking for quality set not awkward to lift, especially when full of hot food.

A: Not heavy at all but cook & clean up well. I am quite satisfied. I had Langostino's before & these are better.. & made in PEI!

Q: I just bought an induction range to be delivered and need new cookware. What measurements are the bottom of the pots/pans? The elements are 6", 8" and 11". I want to make sure this cookware will work on my stovetop.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Below is the diameter of the base of each pot/pan included in the set:
1.5L saucepan - 5.7" (6" burner)
2L saucepan - 6" (6" burner)
3L saucepan - 7.5" (8" burner)
5L dutch oven - 9" (try 8" burner first. This should work well. If not, then you can try the 11")
2L saute pan -8" (8" burner)
thank you.

Q: Are the handles heat proof or would I need an oven mitt to pick them up?
1 Answer
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Part of the development/approval process of all Paderno products is that handle temperatures are tested to ensure they do not exceed specifically set limits. Much care is taken in the design of handles to avoid overheating as well. For this item, you will note that there is an open space between the "prongs" of the handles. This is designed to let heat pass through the handle, rather than get trapped and absorbed by the handle. Generally speaking, and when used as directed, oven mitts should not be required when handling these pots and pans, however, that is also a personal decision based on individual preference.

Q: Searching for all-Canadian choices and was wondering how Canadian is Paderno...I see it’s manufactured in PEI but what about the materials? Is the steel and copper Canadian-made as well? I’d like (materials, construction, packaging) all CDN!

A: Hello Cindy,
Thank you for your inquiry. Although we do use imported materials, many of those materials are not manufactured in Canada or available from Cdn suppliers. We are committed to the highest quality standards and strive to exceed industry guidelines.

Q: I'm concerned about buying pans with rivets on the insides - for cleaning, food sticking, etc. Can you comment on the food stickiness to inside rivets in the clad cookware?

A: Hello Robyn,
Thank you for your inquiry. Rivets provide a more secure handle for cookware. The best way to ensure that the rivets remain free from food residue would be to rinse and wipe clean promptly after usage. The stainless steel cap is best cleaned with a nylon scrubbing pad.
