Awesome design.

I finally found a pack that suits my needs! It's just the right size for day trips. There's plenty of pockets and they're in the right places. The main compartment has a full-length zipper, allowing full access. This eliminates the floppy lid like those on the top-loading packs. It's comfy and the hip belt does a good job of supporting the weight. The zipper pulls have large tabs, making it easy to open the zippers with gloves on. The butterfly loops are very handy for lashing clothing (and game birds). I use the long, rubberized gear-ties for lashing and they work awesome. My only complaint is that the pack squeaks when moving. It's much like the squeak of new leather. It would also be nice if there were drawstring cord-locks on the mesh pouches and horizontal straps on the sides instead of the angled straps. But aside from these minor issues, it's a great design. I'm very happy with it.
