Poor quality pot

I changed all my cookware to stainless steel, thinking it would be healthier. But clearly, this stock pot is cheaply made. After the 1st use, it was already showing signs of losing particules during cooking. I don't find the idea of having heavy metals in my food reassuring at all. I'm going to try to return it. The 3 other parts look fine.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: I bought a Master Chef 4 piece, 8 qt Pasta Pot October 24, 2022. Used twice and finding that the bottom of the pot is spotted with dark spots. Am not sure why this is happening or is there a flaw in the pot itself.

  • A: I have only used it for blanching beets  and nothing else as yet. So what would happen if I used it for instance tomatoes which are acidic?

Q: Why are all these people saying the pot rusts? have you done anything to rectify this? I don't want to spend money on something I will end up returning

  • A: Because it is the grade of stainless steel that was picked, its less durable than another alloys. This type lacks nickel (which might be helpful to the few people that are sensitive to that metal) however as result the alloy will corrode more easily, salts especially anything with chlorides in it will really speed up the process especially in an acid environment.
