Seals draft if done well but not that easy

I bought this item to insulate the gaps around windows in my house to block out the winter draft. The caulking is a little tricky to apply as the bead of caulk tends to lift off the surface as you pull the caulking gun along the gap that is being sealed. I found that I had to squeeze a bead along the gap very slowly, to allow it to settle into the gap without lifting. The odour is also quite strong and smells like contact cement so you will need to keep this in mind if you are using this in the bedroom. I can’t comment on how easy the caulking can be removed later. However, the caulking does seem to help stop the draft from coming through. In some cases I had to go over a certain sections again as the caulking did not settle into the gap and had lifted off.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Based on your commentary, it would appear that you may have purchased aged product (newly purchased may not necessarily be of recent manufacture). As the product ages, it will thicken to the point of becoming difficult or impractical to use. In regard to your commentary indicating " The odour is also quite strong and smells like contact cement...",because this is a solvent based formula, it carries additional warnings and cautions such as: Label - "ALLOW FRESH AIR ENTRY DURING APPLICATION AND DRYING and Use only in a well-ventilated area". As indicated on the Technical Data Sheet - “If applied indoors, the area must be ventilated during application and drying time. Safety: Danger! Flammable, Irritant. FUMES MAY CATCH FIRE. MAY IRRITATE EYES AND SKIN. Do not smoke. Do not breathe fumes. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not swallow. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from flames, such as a pilot light, and any object that sparks, such as an electric motor. Keep out of reach of children. Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles. Additional Heath and Safety information can also be found on the Safety Data Sheet. At your convenience, please contact DAP's Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you. When calling, please be sure to have the package (cartridge) available, as we will need to verify the production code in order to determine the date of manufacture.

A: I don't know about mulco. This one has no smell and it is easy to remove and gets dry quickly. I use it to seal the in-wall AC for the winter and remove it for the summer. And works just fine.

A: DAP Draft Attack is a solvent Rubber based formula, no a latex as indicated in the community answer section.
