I purchased this unit yesterday. I considered for a long time about buying the chainsaw pruner, but last minute a friend mentioned how happy they were with their pruners from a different brand, and reviews for the 6” handheld chainsaw were not great. Both items were on sale so it was a tough choice. The battery needed charged right away but I used the pruners today to cut up an existing pile of branches, prune some of the limbs that I couldn’t manage with manual pruners and I tested on larger sizes just for fun. The pruners did not disappoint. It easily cut a 1.5” branch cleanly and without crushing. It has already met my expectations for battery life and still going strong with 2 bars out of 4. I had never used Power pod batteries before and was surprised by the simple connector for the 2 Ah battery the unit came with. It’s like a small seatbelt clip on a cord with a medium size charge controller plug in. I like it, the blades on this unit are ultra sharp, I will be looking into backup blades because I will be putting this unit through its paces for the rest of the summer. I am hoping for long reliable use and if it does not disappoint will definitely by another if I break this one. We It’s comfortable in the hand and it does have some weight but it’s not awkward to use. This unit was on sale but it was a small discount. $169.

I bought this about a year ago for my mom and she has been using it since I tried it today and it is incredible. I cut about 40 inch and a half limbs and took about five minutes.
