Great Googles, a very comfortable fit with full coverage. I keep them hanging near my tanks so I can grab them quickly for cutting, grinding and any time I just need some quick eye pro.

Goggles fit over glasses and work well

Goggles work well when grinding metals that give a lot of light. Easily reduces eye strain and fatigue. I picked up these goggles when I was busy grinding off fasteners from metal bed frames. I wear prescription eye-ware and the goggles easily fit over my glasses. Strap seems a little narrow, I would prefer a thicker elastic band like found on dirt bike and snowboard or ski goggles. Despite the how thin they still work well.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: See previous question about welding. If these goggles are not safe to weld in, they are definitely not safe to watch the eclipse. Welder's glass is recommended by most amateur astronomers. Looking at the sun is at least as damaging as looking at what you're welding. Safest way is watch online.

A: It is not recommended to weld with these goggles, as they do not have the shade required for proper eye protection afforded by proper welding helmets. It also does not offer the proper facial protection against UV light and fumes. Can it be used for cutting, grinding, and minor oxy-acet repairs? Yes. But not for proper welding.
