    They light up strong and everything worked well

    We got these on a major sale at an excellent price. We replaced fluorescent tubes with these. No issues at all. I just took some time at the store to make sure the boxes weren't opened for all 4 of them and that they're in good condition. Some boxes weren't in good shape. Philips needs to protect the opening on both sides a bit more. Installation was a breeze. It's been 2 weeks that we're using them and all good. They light up very well, lots of light, more than ever (a bit too much if anything, very bright), and decent enough colour. I would prefer a bit more warm, about 3500K instead of 4000K.

    fluorescent light replacements

    never worked so I returned them to the store. Wrong specs t o replace my existing fluorescent lights. I got what I needed at Rona.

    Recommended operating temperature is (-20°C) to (45°C). If below -20C the lights will work, but will not be as bright. PhilipsGBL-en_CA

    For whatever reason, Phillips has chosen to use InstantFitnto mean that this tube requires an electronic ballast. If you are not up on the terminology, you might be tempted to try this in an old Fluorescent fixture with a magnetic ballast. No dice. For that, you need "Universal" which works with most electronic or magnetic ballasts. With a bit of fixture wiring DIY, it is even better IMHO to eliminate all ballasts and use cUL-listed "bypass" LED tubes, which are more difficult to find and/or more expensive. I gave this tube a try but ended up returning it once I did my research. I'm sure it works well in the right application.
