I use4d this paint to do some finishing touches in the workshop on some of the workbench and other desk / shelving units. This paint goes on evenly, as long as you are doing short sprays and gentle strokes. It covers up very good and also does not run, as long as you are not "coating" it very heavily in one area. I used it on some older scrap wood, i was a bit lazy so I did not do a lot of sanding, and most of the wood had been pretty used, came from pallets. it stuck to it and produced a nice finish. highly recommend.
