Froth-Pak™ Sealant 200 is the all-in-one, self-contained kit for professional contractors to "picture frame” wall cavities and other small areas that require sealing quickly and efficiently. This two-component foam seals out moisture, dust, allergens, and pests while improving energy efficiency, and the newly reformulated product delivers a GWP reduction of over 99%.
Designed to fill gaps and penetrations quickly and affordably, helping eliminate unwanted air flow throughout a home
Expands quickly to fill larger gaps and penetrations in rim joists, roof wall junctures and around pipes and ducts that are greater than 2" (5 cm) and less than 4" (10 cm) wide
Froth-Pak™ Sealant Spray Foam Kit 200 yields approximately 200 board feet
Each self-contained kit contains an ISO (A) cylinder, a Polyol (B) cylinder, Insta-Flo™ Dispensing Spray Gun, 6 cone spray nozzles, 4 fan spray nozzles, and a 9’ gun hose assembly

I bought two duds

I’ve used this 100’s of times grabbed some because it was on sale, I’d say it was either a bad batch or sat too long both boxes were duds .. not sure how to go about it with Canadian tire they aren’t cheap but I’m about 1200$ for grabbing two.

A: Yes, it is an insulation. Not sure who the guy is claiming to be from DuPont but it is a closed cell insulation and gets you R6.5 cured

A: Polyurethane foam will work great on a hot tub providing the foam is not exposed to direct sunlight. The UV will degrade the foam over time if left exposed.

A: Yes it is, trick is warm it up to around 26c and wear protective clothing eyewear and mask, cover anything you don’t want to get it on as the first half of the products canisters sprays rather fast and can be a bit messy.

A: Hello rogie - The Froth=Pak™ Foam Sealant product should not be used as an insulation, the product is an air sealant and should only be sprayed to a maximum of 2-inches thick and no more than 4-inches wide. DuPont does not sell a spray foam insulation product in Canada.

Q: How much will this foam expands? If I spray 1 inch thick on a wall, how much the foam will be thick once dry. Is it suitable to insulate walls to fill air gaps and to protect against cold?

A: Yes it will expand about twice its volume. So an inche you will get 2 inches and so on.

A: We did our crawl space joist with it. It’s expensive and finicky. Have to make sure it hasn’t been previously frozen and has to be the perfect temp to apply - product and room. When used right it’s an awesome product. But if the application isn’t perfect it’s a total flop.
