I’ve only held dry cereal within this plastic container. The lid closes properly and keeps the food from going stale. The oval shape is more decorative than functional if I had to nitpick.

These bins are made really well. They hold an entire box of cereal and allow you to clearly see what's inside. Easy access (no bag and box to mess with) and the opening allows for controlled pouring. My kids love them and so do I.
