Poor treadwear

Don't waste your money on these. 60 % worn on the front after 1 winter. Just changed over my summer tires and was surprised to see how badly they were worn. I'll be lucky to get 2 winters out of them. My Michelin Xice lasted 6 years. Spend a few extra bucks on a decent tire unless you only need it for one season.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good tires cozy waiting room to nap in while you wait (preston crossing)

Good wheels service took a bit too long for 2 tires to be installed but over all not a bad experience, preston crossing has a good group of people running the place Martinsville like wise …. Avoid confederation at all cost ….

Q: What does directional design mean

2 Answers
  • A: Means that the tire has been designed to rotate most effectively in one direction (and must be dedicated to a specific side of the vehicle). The tires must be installed correctly for the left side vs the right side of your vehicle as they are different.

Q: what is the mileage rating on these tires

2 Answers
  • A: Its a snow tire, so it has more silicone and that makes it softer. Its best to install them on a spare set of rims and install when it snows and remove when the snow is gone if you want them to last.

Q: The store said these start at just 9/32" tread depth, is this right?? Not much tread if so, which means they won't last long. or is it 9mm? Please advise

Q: How long will these tires last

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Nina! Winter tires do not usually come with mileage rating. The life of the tires depends on road conditions, temperature, how long you have them installed, etc. We recommend checking the tread depth each year and replacing the tires if the tread depth is at or below 4/32" for safety and performance. 2/32" is the minimum tread depth for tires.

Q: Is this one absolutely worth it for Ottawa winter? Thank you!

1 Answer
  • A: This tire seems to test better than most top tier tire brands and carries the 3PMSF certification so should be adequate. Their manufacturer, Hankook, makes great winter tires.
