    Product Details

Conquer winter roads with the MotoMaster Winter Edge II Tire for Passenger & CUV. With an optimized soft compound for maximum road contact, and a directional spiral booster tread to drain snow and water and reduce the risk of hydroplaning, it provides unparalleled control on snow and ice.

    Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

    Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

    • Leader in snow performance with our top marks in the road rated testing program

    • The optimized soft compound maximizes contact area and provides better grip on icy and snowy roads

    • With Winter Traction Technology (WTT)

    • Provides superior control stability and minimizes block movement for excellent handling performance

    • Grip in step shoulder design prevents snow accumulation while braking or accelerating

    • 3PMSF certified indicates a winter tire that can handle snowy and slippery roads, as well as low temperatures, and meets the minimum requirements for providing snow traction

    • Directional design and spiral booster structure

    • Prevents hydroplaning by draining snow and water

    • Ensures enhanced acceleration

They work great in deep snow

Very Good, look at the test numbers.

I purchased these tires after reviewing many others 3 years ago, in my case they are perfect for where I drive. Very good traction and fuel economy did not suffer. Having said that, I am very pleased, we have gone on to purchase an other set for our other vehicle last year 2025.

    Poor performance

It is a very hard ride. When installed to replace my continental tires, I had these motomaster tires balanced and realigned. However, I am experiencing major vibration and shaking at both low and hwy speeds. I even had to pull off the hwy to check that I didn’t have flat tires. Going back to Cdn Tire to determine problem.

Q: What does directional design mean

    2 Answers
    • A: Means that the tire has been designed to rotate most effectively in one direction (and must be dedicated to a specific side of the vehicle). The tires must be installed correctly for the left side vs the right side of your vehicle as they are different.

Q: what is the mileage rating on these tires

    2 Answers
    • A: Its a snow tire, so it has more silicone and that makes it softer. Its best to install them on a spare set of rims and install when it snows and remove when the snow is gone if you want them to last.

Q: The store said these start at just 9/32" tread depth, is this right?? Not much tread if so, which means they won't last long. or is it 9mm? Please advise

    • A: Hi Manninp. Which size are you looking to buy? I can confirm with manufacturer on the tread depth.

Q: How long will these tires last

    1 Answer
    • A: Hi Nina! Winter tires do not usually come with mileage rating. The life of the tires depends on road conditions, temperature, how long you have them installed, etc. We recommend checking the tread depth each year and replacing the tires if the tread depth is at or below 4/32" for safety and performance. 2/32" is the minimum tread depth for tires.

Q: Is this one absolutely worth it for Ottawa winter? Thank you!

    1 Answer
    • A: This tire seems to test better than most top tier tire brands and carries the 3PMSF certification so should be adequate. Their manufacturer, Hankook, makes great winter tires.
