I recently used this on a 4 day canoe trip. I packed my food and essentials in the duffel so that I had an easier time locating things.
We were in and out of the canoes, and it rained heavily at times. The bag held up very well and kept my items dry. A duffel inherently isn't as waterproof as a vertical dry bag, but this should do the trick, for less than 1/2 the price of other more expensive options.
I can't comment on durability, but the construction seems comparable to my Seal Line dry bags (which are impenetrable). I am very happy with the bag's first performance and overall value.
