Q: For the small whte.model 299–1627–4 above, the pins should be pushed down for ‘on’ -the way am/pm is divided on the unit makes no sense! A.m. is dark/ p.m. is light which is weird-and the way it is written 5pm is next to 6am!(Not pm?) confusing.

A: Dark is because of evening/early morning hours when it is dark. Light due to daylight...Therefore 5am is actually next to 6am when the night turns to dusk. I hope this explains it.
