Ugly ugly service and why would you send out a product under your name in such shameful condition…

Products were delivered and the boxes were beat up taped together and they lights did not work…so I took back to sequin st store where they told me they could not return as the item had been cancelled and I would have to go to 7th& Cambie in Vancouver from Port Moody. It was an online order so I refused to go to that store. Customer service called a manager, she called 7th/cambie once they finally answered had them finish out the sale and I was finally able to get my refund…not a pleasant experience. I find customer service at an all time low, no one wants to help, it’s all up to the consumer to do all the work…and pay the price and put up with ugly ugly customer service.

Turning on

I just bought these lights but they haven’t lit up yet! Is there some instructions about how to turn them on? There is only an on-off button at the back and I have pressed it but nothing happens
No, I do not recommend this product.

I hope I don't jinx anything, but I have had a set of these lights in use year-round for approximately EIGHT years!! In the winter I simply brush snow off the solar panel so it keeps charging. When we have a stretch of cloudy weather, they don't stay lit as long, but that's to be expected. They're on sale (clearance) right now so I think I'll buy a couple of sets!

A: I have had my set installed on the front of the house since last summer. They work perfectly even in the winter (I put the solar panel high enough that it is not covered by snow), and are still nice and bright and can be easily seen. Other than during a period of cloudy days when the solar panel couldn't really charge, these lights have worked problem free since I bought them about 10 months ago. I love these lights, and on sale they are a great buy.

A: Not completely. The package says they are good in the rain but I have found water lining the removable backing for the batteries.

Q: My lights used to stay on lit solidly for hours. Now at dark they turn on and run through a repeated pattern of differnt flickering, on/off patterns. How do I re-set it back to solid? This is not due solar panel location.

A: If your solar light does not turn on at night or its nightly run time is short, it may be caused by one of the following conditions: 1. Battery is not fully charged. Make sure the solar light is located in an area where it can receive the maximum amount of full, direct sunlight every day. If the solar light does not receive enough sunlight during any given day (e.g. due to cloudy or overcast weather conditions), it will recharge on the next sunny day and resume normal operation. Keeping the solar panel clean is equally important to ensure maximum charging performance. 2. The solar light is installed close to other light sources, which may keep the solar light from turning on at night automatically. To solve the problem, relocate the fixture or eliminate other light sources. 3. Keep debris and snow off the solar panel to allow the battery to recharge. If lights have been covered by snow for a long time, allow batteries to recharge in full, direct sunlight for at least 10-12 hours so that they maintain maximum capacity. Charging the battery For optimum performance, it is best to install the solar light in full sunlight and charge for 10–12 hours. Allow the light to run at least 8–12 entire charging and discharging cycles to reach battery’s maximum capacity.
