Q: Just to clarify first question on list, will they work on eaves/gutters that have any type of leaf guard installed on them?

A: Ultimately it depends on the type of leaf guard system you have installed as there are various types of systems. This clip has proven to work on leaf guard systems that offer a small opening or cavity next to the gutter lip, allowing rain water to flow though yet block debris into the gutters. It will also work on leaf guard systems that overhang the gutter, allowing the water to over top the guard and into the gutter, while debris flows over the guard and onto the ground. However, there are leaf guard systems with openings for rain water in the center of the guard cover that will not allow for the clip to properly secure itself to the gutter lip.

Q: I'm looking for a clip to attach lights to my wood deck railing so I don't have staple holes for moisture to get into. Would these fit on the top railing?

A: We tried to use them to hang Christmas lights last year from our gutters. They were a little tricky to figure out. We put them on but the lights kind of fell off. So instead we purchased some command hooks for hanging Christmas lights and those were amazing. We attached the command hooks to wood siding and it has worked well. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Q: I have eaves troughs with T-Rex gutter guards. Is it possible to use these clips for C6 Christmas lights? I'd like to combine icicle lights with a string of C6 lights. Thank you!
