Poor beam angle

Color is OK, brightness is fine but could be better. Where these really struggle is beam angle. These are spotlights in every sense of the word. If you're trying to light a room with these, look elsewhere. I didn't realize these were rated at 40 degrees of angle, and they definitely are. I would only use these in areas where you have 12 feet of height or greater, so mostly outdoors.

No, I do not recommend this product.

None worked and bulb markings differ from package

I've used these before with no problem. This time, none of the bulbs worked properly, as confirmed by my electrician. Plus the bulbs said they were 5000K when the package said 3000K. Took them back and got my refund.

Q: I bought this LED bulb to replace burned LED bulb on my range hood. My range hood has low-hi two levels of light density. This Noma LED only works on hi level, but not working on low level. Is this normal as it claimed clearly that the bulb is Dimmable?

A: LED bulbs are fickle in the sense that they're usually engineered to match specific dimmers. Most LED bulbs can't be started at a low level. A dimmer will automatically start the output on high and then dim down to make the bulb work. If your range hood truly does use LED bulbs, you'll likely need to buy the proprietary bulb to get one that works as designed.

Q: Is this bulb suitable for use in shower pot lights? If not, what is the recommended replacement bulb.

A: A proper fixture needs to be installed in the shower area suitable for wet locations. The Noma bulb will work if installed in the proper fixture. However Most of the Noma LED par 20 50 w bulbs only last about 11 months.They have all failed prematurely, I do not recommend using any Noma bulbs period. I suggest Phillips or Sylvania. Type bulbs. I have been a Building Maintenance Professional for over 37 years .

Q: I purchased these to replace the halogen bulbs I use in my range hood which has 3 light intensities (low - med - high). They work in all 3 levels. However when I turn it off the bulbs stay lit similar to a night light. Is this normal.

A: If the rangehood was designed specifically for halogen product. You will likely continue to need to use Halogen with his or her rangehood. With LED dimmable bulbs, you actually need to purchase an associated LED dimmer to ensure the product works correctly in a standard circumstance.
