A: This photocell timer does not have the 7 hr setting. It can only be set at 2,4,6,8 hour intervals along with ON,OFF and dusk to dawn.

A: Search YouTube NOMA Outdoor Photocell Timer, Dusk to Dawn Sensor with Countdown Basically, the timer comes on at dusk and you can select how many hours it stays on. Start at the “stop” command then turn the knob to however many hours you want the lights on. I use 8 hours for my Christmas lights.

Q: I zoomed in on the photo and did not notice a “clock” to set the time. How does the timer know what time it is if you only want it on for X amount of hours?

A: It's a photocell... light sensor.... so it auto turns on when it turns dusk outside and stays on for however many hours you've set the dial to.

Q: This year I can't seem to get my timer to come on at a set time, 2,4,6,8 hrs only works with the manual ON and then having to come out to turn it OFF. When I try to set it for 8 hrs the lights flicker on and off. Can you please tell me how to fix this

A: Sorry, mine comes on automatically at dusk and turns off automatically when it’s been on for 6 hrs ( which is what I have it set to). There is no “Msnual” and “Auto” on my timer.

A: Yes, this timer is works well with LED Christmas lights. As with all electrical applications, do not exceed the rating of the timer: 125V, 60HZ, 15A. As well, according to the specification of this product, the lights only turn ON at dusk, and turn OFF at dawn, or selected hours (2/4/6/8 hours) ON at night. Or Manual ON for light always ON (no matter daylight or night).
