Fan-tastic

The fan is powerful so it's going to have no trouble keeping you cool in the warmer months. If I had anything to criticize, it's that I wish there was an additional lower speed for sleeping at night. Also, it has a remote but it uses AAA batteries which I don't particularly like. I'm very happy with the fan and would get it again in the future.

I bought 2 like that, both started making crazy noise after a year of use, even with oil in them. This is too pricey for the time if lasts. It's very good when it works though.

Awesome but dangerous!!

I have absolutely LOVED this fan!! I have owned it for just over a year and came home to find it blown apart!! The larger blade was in many pieces, most of which were lying close to and on the pedestal base, but one large piece of the blade was 16' from the fan!! There were many tiny shards found all over my 2 rooms also.
I know of another identical fan, purchased a month before I bought mine from the same Steinbach Canadian Tire that had a similar incident. The larger blade on that fan busted also, however THAT fan had fallen over. Mine has never toppled. I only move it a couple feet every time I wash the floor, so maybe 12 times since I set it up.
Maybe there needs to be a recall on this fan?? What are the chances of the same person witnessing 2 identical fans with the identical flaw? This could have seriously injured me or a child or my pets (thankfully no one was home when this spontaneously happened)!
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: The oscillation function is manual only controlled by the button on the top of the motor unit. When in the down position the fan oscillates, and is stationary when the button is pulled up.

Q: I just assembled mine and I can't get it to stop tilting down. Every time I make it level or tilt it up it immediately tilts back down. How can I fix this?

A: You should hear clicks when moving the fan head up or down. Tighten all screws. I had to put twine around the thread where the fan head meets the base then attach it. To loose and wobbly if you don't

Q: My last oscillating fan I had to get up t get up and pull the button on the top of the fan to activate the oscillation; Is the oscillation activated with the remote?

A: No, you still have to get up and oscillate the fan. That being said, it actually has great coverage so I rarely need to oscillate. It's very powerful and I am seldom set it above 2, even on the hottest days. I am really happy with my purchase.
