Used to rewire an outdoor xmas ornament whose lights had failed. Done originally in warm white but used the pure white and it looks great. Easily bent around curves and corners to complete the job

Q: Can they stick on or do they only use clips?

A: I just installed a string of these on my basement tile ceiling using Gorilla Double Sided Tape along the metal hangers. Lighted length is 18' so used 18 inches of tape at each end and 3 x 12 inch pieces in between them. Also used a tea cup hook in the wall to support the extra weight of the power cord from the end of the lighted length for added strength and to prevent the string from pulling off the tape. So far, so good !!!

Q: Are these lights dimmable outdoors? I see that it works indoors but I have mine outside on a timer and they are a bit too bright.

A: Yes, they can be dimmed. Leviton sells a slide control dimmer #052-8629-4 for under $20 at Canadian Tire.

Q: How warm do these get? I'm considering mounting them under a closed top valence to act as down lighting on a wall. See attached sketch. I am concerned about heat build up.
