We have owned this unit for the past 2 years and unfortunately it has lived up to some of the negative reviews from other customers. Yes it is loud (that isn’t the issue) - this was something we expected and cannot dock it for. The biggest issue is that it really leaks alot of water during hot days. You will constantly have to drain this unit which becomes very frustrating depending on your living arrangements. If this unit did not leak I would provide a higher overall rating but buyers should be aware that this unit will cool your room but it will leak on any day over 25!

Easily installed, but better off not.

This thing is LOUD - as in, "can't-carry-on-a-conversation-at-normal-volume-when-this-thing-is-running" loud. As in "riding-in-a-subway" loud.
It struggles to cool a 150sqft room to below 25C when the outdoor temp is in the low-to-mid 30s with humidex near 40.
The remote is a disaster - its layout, controls, and look have nothing in common with the controls on the unit itself, so it's like learning two different systems at once. The controls on the AC itself are simple, easy, and intuitive. The controls on the remote will have you thinking you've stumbled across an alien technology with strange hieroglyphics on most of its buttons. Only about 4 have icons that are intuitive enough to understand without having to study the manual. And what kind of AC remote doesn't have dedicated and obvious buttons to control whether the user wants their air more cooler / less cooler?
It's got Wi-Fi! "Press the 'Swing' button on the remote 6 times until the display on the AC unit shows '77' to pair the unit to the app that you need to download to your phone first. And the Wi-Fi bit isn't even in the manual. It's on a separate postcard telling you to download the app. The weather's here. I wish this were fine.
But it *is* pretty easy to install.
Honestly, you'd be better off cooling your space by taking the $549 you were going to spend on this product and setting the cash on fire instead.

Doesn't Work

Worked for 15 minutes then shut off and would not go back on. Followed instructions and called help number and was told how to use the remote with the symbols. Restarted it and it shook, made a noise and shut down again. Rested it and tried again and it would go on and shut down right after. Packed back in the box and returned it. Completely useless

A: It's plug & pay, super easy. I won't even program it on wi-fi as I am using this device only during extreme heat waves.

A: Don’t do what this person said. The AC is not powerful enough to have a longer hos. I tried exactly what that person said before and my AC just overheated and started blowing hot air. I had to put the ac on a dresser so it was close to the window and then it made my room 17 degrees. Don’t extend the hose, it’s as long as it can be for the power of the unit.

A: They are auto evaporate so there is maybe a 2 litre at the bottom that can be drained if it’s too moist. The AC has to be able to turn to fan mode in order to evaporate the water, so it’s running all the time cause it’s 32 outside then it will probably get full and stop until you drain it. That’s what happened to me a lot. I noticed if I raise the temp so the AC turns off and back on randomly then I wouldn’t have to drain it.
