I have several timers and this one is easy to program and works very satisfactorily. Sometimes the timers are not very easy to program.

Hard water kills my coffee makers, this timer allows me to purchase cheaper makers without all the timers and simply plug them in. This with the added advantages of being able to set different Brew times for weekends, and a battery backup to hold programming

Q: How would you program this to come on for 5 minutes then off for 55 every hour. There are only 20 program settings but there are 24 hours per day? Countdown setting will turn on for 5 minutes then off but I need to turn it back off 24 times not 20 ?

  • A: Still no returned calls from Southwire or Canadian Tire afetr leaving multiple messages? Go buy a smart plug online. Much easier to program and Wifi enabled for less money. NOT NOMA!!!!

  • A: take it to the river and show it as far out as you can. I;m a retired Instrument technician used to working with digital stuff This NOMA timer never worked.

Q: Is this timer compatible with LED light bulbs or do they flicker when turning on?

  • A: I use these timers with LEDs and fluorescent tubes. There is no "flicker" with either.

Q: I am using this timer currently, but the timer keeps changing the time and it keeps erasing my programming that I keep putting. What do I do to fix it It keeps changing it and I would keep putting the same programming over and over because it would erase them all and the time keeps changing. What can I do to fix it?

  • A: I don't think you will be able to fix it. I recommend returning it and buying something else. The same thing happened to me! You can't trust them to work properly.

Q: Why doesn't anyone at Canadian Tire or Southwire (referred to in a previous support question) never answer on the phone or return phone calls? Don;t buy Noma products like this. There are more advanced smart plugs online for half the price and less.

  • A: I bought one... Use it all the time... I bought it because it wasn't that advanced and was easy to use. I did not need extra features when I looked for a programable timer.. Next time you need to complain.. Might I suggest reddit, instead of here...

Q: This timer has 2 outlets. Question :  can I program timer for one outlet to be timed, and have the other outlet used without timer.

  • A: No. But if you use a HD double outlet extension cord/power bar you can plug the timer and the appliance it serves into one of its outlets and the untimed appliance into another vacant place in the extension cord, bypassing the timer. Like lights on the timer and the fan untimed.
