Impossible to open battery pack

Do not buy this product. The battery pack comes closed with screws. You have to unscrew the screws to open it and they do not unscrew. The screws are very tight nothing opens them and the screws are cheap metal so the head strips. We had to break the plastic cover in order to open it. We purchased 2 boxes and it is the same problem with both of them.

works, but ...

The lights work well, but installing the D batteries was a challenge. I was unable to undo the tiny screws so needed the power drill to get the back off and to reattach it. The battery case is quite heavy so I had to be careful where I put it in the shrub I was lighting. On the upside, setting the timer and light pattern was easy and the batteries seem to last a long time.

Not happy with purchase at all. Lights won't turn off automatically. Go out in the morning and lights are on a differest setting. A waste of my $100.00.

To ensure the lights are working correctly, please ensure you have followed the instructions to set the timer properly. You can do this by pressing the TIMER button, which will turn on the timer indicator light. The lights should then operate for 6 hours, turn off for 18 hours, and automatically turn back on. If the issue persists, it might be a malfunction. If you have not already done so, you may take the product to your nearest store for resolution. Q: how to set timer

1 Answer

A: Try turning on the power then select the display function. Then immediately press the timer button only once. This should engage the 6 hour on timer. Starting at the time that you do the above procedure. Usually there is no way to know except 6 hrs later at turn off. Cycle repeats every 24 hrs, Most likely if you turn off the power in any way it will be a complete start over. If you have messed up it will be a constant on function.

Q: The manual says "Do not allow water to come into contact with the wiring" and yet these lights are described to be used outdoors. It may rain and snow then what? Is that OK or not for the set?
