I have children and I’m a smoker. I don’t smoke in my house. I put this in my garage. Makes my life a lot more pleasant. I’m not freezing in my garage anymore. I love this product.

Heater Replaced After Early Malfunction – Cautiously Optimistic, and Satisfied for Now – Hope It

I’m writing to express a concern about the NOMA Ebony Cabinet Infrared Space Heater. After just three weeks of use, the power button on my original unit stopped working, and I had to return it for a replacement. While the new unit is working well so far, I’m worried that the same issue might occur again next winter. If it does, I may be forced to purchase a new heater, which would be an added expense.
I would appreciate any information on warranty coverage or support options should the issue reoccur.

Q: Purchased the NOMA Wood Cabinet Infrared Heater model #043-5997-6; read it has 4 high power quartz infrared emitters. Just reading that this one #043-5107-6 has 8 quartz tubes! Is there a difference in how they put out heat and which is better?

A: 8 tubes are better because they don't have to work as hard to keep your room at the desired temp.

A: The unit is definitely portable but I would not recommend using it in a tent. Safety issues aside, the heater would likely be much too hot within a few minutes.

Q: The noma cabinet heater makes clicking sounds and the heating bars look like they turn on and off. It runs well and keeps correct temperature. Is this normal ?

Q: From what distance from the heater will the remote not work and can the heater be secured on a table or bench(with/without wheels as opposed to being on a floor?

A: The remote works well at least 10 feet away with fresh batteries. The heater should be on a firm, level surface. Only operate the heater in upright position.

A: Our Noma heaters have a Consumer’s guide on the packaging to help consumers make choices. Here is an example. The cabinet heater referenced in the question would fall under the Quartz/Radiant bucket in this guide. Also on the packaging below the guide is a recommendation for room size support. A 400 sq foot room is fairly large and it may require more than one heater to heat it effectively. The particular unit would be recommended for room size up to 300 sq ft.
