Best Christmas lights with so many options for home display.

These are amazing. I highly recommend for indoor display on the windows or on your tree. I can change the theme every day if I want. Will leave up on the windows. Great blue & white alternate for leaf games. Red & White alternate for Canada day. Then use multicolour for holiday season. With 7 different patterns per colour. Also 7 solid colours. I love this product remote works for all 4 windows

Great Features but poor design and customer service

I had bought five of these set to setup a Christmas display. For weeks they were great and the hit of the neighbourhood.
Then one of the sets stopped working. Upon phoning Noma customer service, I discovered they can’t actually do anything to help you per say. They said to try to take them into a Canadian Tire store and get them exchanged. However, none of the local stores have stock. So I phoned Noma back and learned they don’t actually keep any stock whatsoever. So if the Canadian Tire stores don’t have any you are out of luck. Furthermore, it makes me curious how they could offer a ten year warranty.
So, after trying to deal with this, I discovered that another set was on the fritz. I have then taken the power supply/controller units off the two that weren’t working, to see they had water and rust in them. So that is the likely cause. However, it is curious how these are offered as outdoor lights when they can’t even last one month, in their first winter.
While the idea seems great for these lights, the quality is not there, nor is the warranty/customer support.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Look nice, but glitchy

We've had for just over a week. We really like the lights and the options, but are still trying to confirm how long the timer function lasts. When it does go off, we've woken up to realize 3-40random bulbs remain lit and we had to unplug to get them to go out. We've attached 2 strings together, and occasionally when we turn them off one string will turn off, but not the other. They have to be unplugged to be reset. For the glitches we've had, we'll keep them. Here's hoping they do last a couple seasons.

Good in concept, but they are buggy

For the price point, they are a very short string of lights, so you are paying for the show/remote features. The light show feature is a nice touch, it's nice to have colour and blinking choices and a remote to turn them on and off.
The con is that similar to other reviewers, I have also noticed the "bug" where some little lights flicker improperly and then when you go to turn it off, they stay on, despite all the other lights being off. The solution is to remove power completely by unplugging them. Which defeats the point of having a remote on/off feature.
To get around this, I use a Wi-Fi plug where I can control power to the lights. I still get the options of colours and shows and it resets the lights if they are buggy. My only complaint is that it also resets the show to default every time we turn the power off. But that is easily fixed by using the remote. (First world problems!).
Unfortunately, there is no way to update the firmware and no additional onboard memory for remembering settings if you remove the power. It is what it is, I still like them, but they lose two stars. One for being buggy (which makes the remote feature I'm paying for, less useful). The other for being unable to be fixed, there is no firmware update option.

Q: How do you set the second colour for the 2 colour alternating?

A: Customer Services' response is a poor work around. Cycling through the favorites has an awkwardly long daily between (10 sec). The two cycle colour mode has a more appropriate colour rotation (3 secs) but you only have the choice of 1 colour, not two. The second colour is always white with no apparent way to change the 2nd colour.

Q: Have two stands connected together, using their own timer (connected directly to power, no external timer). When "off", and waiting to turn on, a couple lights on each strand are always on. Is this normal? They are random, and different on each strand.

A: Thanks for reaching out.Could you help check if you activated for each set.Press the timer button on the remote. Lights will then blink 3 times. The timer feature has now been activated.Indicating that the 6 hour timer has been activated.The lights will now remain on for 6 hours and will automatically resume the last function 18 hours after shut off.To deactivate the timer feature:Press the timer button on the remote. Lights will then blink 1 time. The timer feature has now been deactivated.Hope it can help you.

Q: I have 2 sets of these lights. So far so good however... Is there no memory of "last used setting"? We like twinkle, but when our timer turns off, then on for the next day it defaults to the spaz demo mode. This might be a deal breaker.

Q: Can all the different Advanced Light Show sets be connected together, or do they have to be the same style of light? (e.g. only mini to mini or can we mix Mini and icicle and C9?)

Q: Does anyone know for the timer is it 4 hour 6 hour. Can you program it to come on and off the same time each day ? There aren’t many instructions on the timer option.
