Q: It says to not use with an extension cord in the user manual is there any specific recommendations as the cord isn't long enough to reach my plug near the floor.

A: Hello BOB87. Thank you for your question. After reviewing the users manual several times, I believe I have finally found the reference you are referring to, as well as the cause of the misunderstanding. YES, you can use a regular extension cord to reach the wall from the location of your decoration. That is not what this caution is referring to. The first caution on Page 3 " Do not use an extension cord" is referring specifically to the screw thread side of the power supply driver (the component that converts the 120 volt from the wall to the low voltage that the LED's use) that screws into the LED string. It is a warning that you can not add any wire length between the LED bulbs and the power supply driver. I do understand how the wording of this can cause confusion and we apologize. I will make a note to have this rewritten in future production for clarity. Thank you for your eagle eye and if you have any further question, please call us Toll-free at NOMA 1-866-827-4985. Q: are these Noma multi-coloured 500 string lights dimmable?

A: I don't know if they are dimmable. However, they have a variety of colour and goes from multicolour to white and so on.

Q: Half of my lights stopped working on my Christmas lights curtain. They aren’t even a year old. How do I fix them? Can I fix them?

A: Hello Mama bear. Thank you for reaching out with your question. When you say half, do you mean exactly half? Is it possible a wire was damaged during takedown and storage? Do a careful inspection at the point where the bulbs stop working and check for a kinked or loose connection. If you can't get the product to function, please know this product is protected by a Warranty. This product carries a 3 year exchange warranty redeemable at any Canadian Tire store with receipt. Q: Instructions to install did not come with these lights. I don't understand how I'm supposed to hang them? I see that the middle section has a bunch of cords wrapped in cut zip ties. Do I remove these zip ties or leave them on? How do I hang them?

A: Hello Daisy. Thank you for reaching out. You are correct, there are no instructions regarding the extraction of the curtain lights. Those zip ties are in place to aid you in your setup. To prevent the "drops" from tangling until you are ready. Simply plan out your location to hang and method of hanging in advance and start at the closest side to the power source. Q: Can you connect these to other Noma light strands if using outdoor?

A: Hello Ak057. Yes, you can physically plug these NOMA Advanced Curtain lights into any standard female wall socket or extension cord, or another Christmas Light set that also has a standard female end. However, please be sure to know that this product requires constant power to the memory inside the male controller in order to remember your function selection (10 Lightshow Options). If the power is interrupted for any reason (add-on timer or light set with built-in timer function) then the Curtain lights will reset to default selection as this is not compatible. As long as you are sure not to overload the circuit you have everything plugged into (Recommended max 1440 Watts) then you should be fine. I hope the above information was helpful to you. Q: The light on the control box of our Noma Advanced Curtain lights is red & the lights won’t turn on. Is there a way to trouble shoot this?

A: Hello Steph. Thank you for your question. For the button on the control box to be RED, this is the indicator that the built-in timer has been turned off. As per the instructions, Timer activation and deactivation requires you to hold the button down for 2 seconds. Please review page 2 of the instructions regarding "Timer Feature". Unplug and re-plug from power source to reset controller memory. If you are still having issues, please call customer service Toll-Free at NOMA 1-866-827-4985 for product assistance. Q: How do you use the timer? I followed the instructions to select my preferred function, press and hold the button until the lights flash and button turns green to indicate the timer has been set, but the lights do not stay on when doing so.

From your description, it sounds like you are doing everything correctly. After selecting the function you want, you press and hold the button for 2 seconds. Ok, how many times do the lights flash? They should flash 4 times and the button should now be GREEN showing that the timer is on. And, at this point, you say the lights are not on?
