Perfect for the workshop or media closet. With many different sizes and orientations for plugs on your electrical items or chargeables, this solves the squeezing in or outright elimination of an outlet due to others blocking it. I use this in my garage and in a network/media device cabinet. It ain't pretty, but it works!

A: yes. The lights are on when protection is functional. Surge indicator light glows red when surge suppression is functional and the ground indicator light glows green when grounding protection is functional.

Q: The red and green lights are permanently on, is this normal? Squid seems to work fine but nervous in case it doesn't protect against surges.
