Q: How is condensate/rainwater drained/evacuated from the back of the unit? If a drain hole needs to be drilled, what size? Can someone share a pic? If I drill I want to make sure I don't punch a hole to something more than the casing. Tnx in advance.

A: If slanted slightly down (outward), your AC unit will never leak water into the house. AC units will have a tray that may hold a small amount of water, the spinning impeller splashes this water onto the condenser for more efficient cooling on the outer coils. You may notice it sounds slightly slower when first turning it on after a rain storm, this is normal until the water is expelled, then it starts to air cool (the condenser coils) normally.

Q: Will this unit run continuous, or does it shut down after a while, I would want it to run all night without shutting down

A: If you read the instructions it should as I have used it off the temp control cycle.On the remote it shows a teardrop shape in middle of other icons mid remote.Press this to run continuously,At least it worked for me.

A: The AC unit pulls indoor air through the cold coils then back into the the room, outdoor air is pulled through the (hot) condenser coils then vented outside also.

Q: Can this unit only be installed in a wooden framed window?

A: My windows are framed in wood but trimmed with that factory plastic that windows are made with. You coukd screw the support bracket in. We didn’t because our windows were less than a year old. However the unit held tight and secure all season. No issues at all

Q: Hi, its saying it supposed to be quit (56 db) could you please tell me, how loud is yours? We got this one and I cant even be in the room as its so loud I have a headache, but I see pics of ppl have it right by the bed...

A: It's loud. We put it on an hour or 2 before bedtime to cool the room. Then shut it off and go to a fan or intermittent use during the night. Use it as white noise.

Q: I have had this ac unit for 2 years. It has worked well. It is installed in a window that is a balcony window in an apartment bldg. Recently after a few months of using it I noticed some water on the balcony outside . when ac was on. Any ideas?

A: This is normal condensation from the unit. Ensure that the unit is installed with a slight downward tilt at the back end.
