Owned for and hour then returned!

I bought this as it was on sale thinking "hey, this will great for hunting" was I ever wrong!
You cannot see very well at all out of it. Yes, it does work in the dark, but strains your eye trying to focus and also hurts the other eye at the same time. Very little window to see out of.
Not what the pics look like at all. I'm actually not sure what you could use this for.
No, I do not recommend this product.

At first I looked at this as an expensive purchase I probably could do without, once I had it that changed, bought it on sale, I love it, use it for going into blind or stand early and also for coming out at night, many other uses as well, have used it enough to say the battery last pretty good too, but worth stocking a spare like all hunting equipment

Just tested my new Night Owl Optics night vision monocular. Very happy with the performance so far. The image has some minor imperfections, and isn't as sharp as with regular binoculars, but with the full moon, i can see forever . It's like daylight. Indoors, it's necessary to use the little IR light on top. with it on, everything is as clear and sharp as can be, bright as daylight. Very happy with it.

Q: Is this infrared or infrared and image intensification? IR = Infrared. It relies on an active beam of IR light II = Image Intensification. It gathers and enhances ambient light to see in "the dark".

A: It has the IR function on it for close range. Also the image is greatly intensified with any background light such as the moon.
