Lock broke 2 years later

worked great for about two years until the day something in the internal mechanism broke. Couldn't open the door to leave the house. Went out the back door tried the key but couldn't get the deadlock to move (despite the key turning). Now I have to take it apart just to be able to open my front door. Very upsetting. Poor quality

Lasted a couple years

Bought 2 a couple years back, both completely stopped working recently. These are junk, spend some extra cash and get a better brand. These are "Garrison" brand even if they took the brand name off the ad.

Low Quality, poor operation, low value

casing is made of plastic and internal gears look like a poor casting. The thumb latch requires you to push it in to disengage the interior gears. The return spring is too weak to re-engage the gears, so if you use the thumb latch the unit jams. I taped one of the remotes to the unit so we do not have to use the thumb latch. Poor quality throughout. I doubt it will last. For the price, stick with Weiser or Schalage.

J'ai acheté ce loquet pour remplacer un autre loquet électronique qui a cessé de fonctionner (après 7 ans de loyaux services).
Les pièces internes du mécanisme de mon ancien loquet (Forge) semblaient beaucoup plus solides et le mécanisme était plus silencieux. (Mais il m'avait coûté bcp plus cher)
J'utilise ce nouveau loquet depuis seulement 1 semaine alors je ne connais rien de sa longévité mais, j'ai l'impression qu il est préférable de n'utiliser la clé qu'en cas d'urgence (l'utilisation de cette dernière semble forcer le mécanisme électronique...).
Malgré tout, j'apprécie mon nouveau loquet et je trouve les manettes de déverrouillage à distance très pratique lorsque j'arrive avec des sacs pleins les bras.

Q: Re-keying the lock I have Weiser SmartKey keys for the doors in my house. Is this compatible with those keys (yes I realize the purpose of this is to not need a key but it's needed for a backup and I'd rather not have a different key)?
