Neato D7 Connected Robotic Vacuum

Works and cleans greasy. App easy to setup and use.

When I first realized that these robotic vacuums even existed, I thought they were gimmicky and probably not all that great, but worth a further look. Then, I began my research. After reading hundreds of reviews on probably 50 different makes and models, my mind became clouded and bewildered. Frustrating exercise, to say the least. In conducting my research, I kept coming back to the Neato D7, and I'm glad I did. It had features that none of the others had, and I felt would be important. I have now used the D7 for over a month, and it has impressed me beyond belief! It has proven to be extremely effective in cleaning, and totally reliable. It is so cool to be able to press a button on your tablet and go cook breakfast, or take a shower, or whatever, while your little Robot vacuums your house. Yes, it's pricey, but I am so glad I spent the extra bucks. This machine is incredible!!!!!

Cleans thoroughly on hardwood and carpet. Uses laser navigation and cleans methodically covering all the spaces without any wasted motion or randomness. Goes to base and recharges itself when needed and returns to the same spot to finish the rest. Can start the robot from cell phone from any location. App allows programming of the vacuuming spaces and no go zones.

Il est difficile de dire quels sont ses points faibles, car Neato D7 est très effectif! La seule chose qu’il faut considérer avant l’achat est que cet appareil est conçu pour le nettoyage a sec et n’a pas la possibilité pour nettoyage humide. Neato D7 a simplifie le nettoyage de tous les types de sols chez nous. Nous sommes très satisfaits! Surtout le fait qu’il est super léger a rendu le ménage beaucoup plus agréable, car nous avons 2 etages et notre aspirateur précédant était très lourd.

The vacuum was easy to set up and the instructions were very straight forward. Once I had the dock placed and the vacuum charging I downloaded the app so I could connect to the vacuum through my phone. The first time the vacuum runs it creates a floor map of the area it cleaned. From there you can tell it where it can and cannot go through the app. For example, normally the vacuum would clean my entire dining room, however once the tree was up I needed it to avoid that corner so it didn't get stuck on the tree skirt. So using the cleaning map in the app I easily placed a no go line and it would avoid that area completely. Once the tree comes down I can remove those lines just as easily. With a long haired dog I was concerned how the vacuum would handle the volume of hair, as I have a pet vacuum that can't even keep up. I was really impressed by the Neato in this aspect. The brush is designed so that the dog hair never gets tightly wrapped around the brush and it also comes with a tool that easily cuts through the hair and combs it out. If it does encounter an object that gets tangled in the brush it stops and sends you a notification so you can remove it. The canister held a surprising amount of debris and is simple to remove and clean. It is also not too loud so you can have it running but still be able to watch tv or listen to music. I did have some connectivity issues between the vacuum and the app where I had to reset it every day for a while to get the app to see the vacuum, but I have a feeling that had more to do with my internet connection than the app itself. Overall, this product has made my life much much easier. With 9 month old babies on the move I need to have clean floors and this vacuum helps me do that effortlessly. It has helped immensely with my son's allergies since it collects all the dog hair, even from under our couches and other hard to reach places. It also had no problem going from hardwood to carpet and did a great job cleaning both.
