Neato D5™ Connected Robotic Vacuum

Couldnt handle pet hair from 2 large dogs and 2 cats. Wouldnt return to base to charge. Got "lost" for lack of a better term.

We tried several robots but this one actually vacuums in a pattern most just turn when they hit something. It also sends you a map of were it cleaned at the end

As a previous reviewer already mentioned, the vacuum needs to call home to the Neato "cloud" for all the smart features to work. Well, the connection to their cloud times out most of the time, so features like schedules and No-Go lines only work half the time. When it works though, the vacuum does a spectacular job cleaning up.

I have only had this for a few days but am seriously impressed so far! Tip: set up the base in the spot where he will live. I tested from another spot, but probably confused him when I moved the base. He recovered though, I just watched him return to base to recharge, from another room...amazing! Once he's re-charged, he'll continue cleaning! Wow! Tip; first time, pick up your chairs, cords, loose stuff and let him do a full clean, to let him really learn your house. Don't hover, like I did!, as he'll see you as an obstacle and move around you. Tip: don't just pick him up and move him mid clean. Stop the cleaning, then pick up and move. He relies on where he's been to get his bearings. Tip; App setup relies on you first connecting to his little Wifi, then connecting to yours so he can get your Wifi settings. Tip: keep track of the little cleaner tool - they should have a little pocket for it on the device or base. Be realistic in your expectations. He won't get into tight spaces or get a corner super clean. For cleaning the large spaces, even under my coffee table, he is awesome!

Very happy with the purchase of Neato D5. The fact that Neato is contantly rolling out new features like markup lines and saving floor plans makes it better than the competitors. It performed well in both carpets and hardwood floors.
