Hot Grill handle

Nice Grill. However the handle to raise and close the grill is made out of metal and gets very hot when opening and cling the grill when grilling. They should have covered it with some king of plastic or other material.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback, and you're right to point this out. If the handle is getting hot, it's usually a sign that heat is accumulating inside the grill close to the control panel. Two things to check: Drip Pan / Heat Shield: If the drip pan or sear plates are dirty or backed up, it can retain heat under the lid and transfer it to the handle. A quick clean-out often solves the issue. Check the Jetfire valve - Backfire: Sometimes the Jetfire valve can get logged, and the flame can backfire. We provide a small Jetfire cleaning brush to clean out the valve. If you’ve cleaned those parts and the handle is still too hot, feel free to reach out; we’d be glad to help troubleshoot further. Love my grill!! My wife got this for me for my birthday. It’s amazing. I’ve never had a gas grill but there’s nothing I don’t love about this one!! Complements my smoker to perfection, replaces my charcoal grill. I love the simplicity but high quality of the build. And I can’t say enough about the searing station-amazing—that part is a bit difficult to clean but I’ll take it and use it a lot because it does such a good job on steaks and chops.

The grill has nice features for the price. I have experienced issues with the igniter for the grill as well as the Sizzle Zone side burner igniter in just the first 3 months.

Everything I wanted in a grill. Cooks evenly, temps always on target. Searing station is a must have, only thing I wish it had and I realized I wanted this after purchase is the rotisserie burner.
